The newsletter is published twice a year - in May and October and it gives us the opportunity to give more detail on what is happening in our harbours. We hope you enjoy it! Newsletter April 2010 - October 2010
Everyone complains about too little time. If only we had more time, seems like the general refrain. One more hour each day would have helped.
This newsletter is about those times when God intervenes. It is about moments, where God intervenes and it seems as if the world stops for a moment, hesitating to breathe. Moses, the Cross and the manger. Take your time to read the letter.
During the past year, the CSO could testify, truly, that God is good for us. The year 2009 was a divine moment in its own right. Evangelists could spend time to share the Word with seafaring men. They heard testimony of the ways in which God intervened in sailors' lives and made time stand still.
In 2009, we talked to 8 089 seafaring men. During the discussions, we distributed a total of 15 086 Bibles and other literature. Wehope that this will lead to divine moments for the seafaring men.
You, as donors, spent much time making scarves, hats and blessing bags for these men. From every corner of the country the parcels arrive: By mail, by air, by road - to warm hearts. This also makes time stand still in their longing to be at home.
Thank you for testifying with us: God is good to us. The Lord is good beyond description. Help us share that blessing with the seafaring men.
